Everyone should be able to access and benefit from City recreational and cultural sites, services and resources in a safe, enjoyable and respectful manner.
Please read the Community Recreation and Culture Branch’s Recreation Safety Guidelines as well as the Respect for People & Property Guidelines to better understand expectations around safety and the role we all play to ensure our spaces are welcome to everyone. In the event these guidelines are not followed, you may have measures put in place that will limit or ban your interactions with employees and/or access to sites and services.

The Leaders in Training (LIT) program is seeking youth ages 13–17 who are interested in developing leadership skills and gaining practical experience working with children in our recreation programs.
This program offers a great opportunity for youth to give back to their community, earn volunteer hours for school, and gain valuable resume-building and interview practice. Opportunities are available at various locations, including Recreation Centres, River Valley Parks, the City Arts Centre, several attractions and golf day camps, and the Green Shack program.
