Online summer picnic site bookings can be made for either 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. and/or 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. each day.
Online winter picnic site bookings can be made for either 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. and/or 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. each day.
Online gazebo bookings can be made for 2 hours starting at 8 a.m., 11 a.m., 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. each day.
Cancellations must be submitted a minimum of 16 days prior to the reservation date to receive a full refund, less a cancellation fee of $12.00. Any cancellation requests or time changes that come within 16 days of the reservation date forfeit any refund. Rescheduling requests must be submitted to the Picnic Bookings Office, please note that a minimum of 4 business days prior to the reservation date is required and a $12.00 rescheduling fee will be applied. Please send these requests to [email protected].
Online bookings are ONLY for the picnic site as indicated in the site description and does NOT include organized group trail use. Please consider the capacity and amenities of your chosen picnic site.
The bookings office may contact you in regards to the logistics of your event. Incremental costs may apply if additional civic services or permits are required.

Winter season picnic sites are available for reservations between October 15 - April 30, 2025. Enjoy a complimentary firewood bundle included with your booking!
Summer season picnic sites are available for reservations between May 1st and Thanksgiving Monday.
Summer season picnic sites are available for reservations between May 1st and Thanksgiving Monday. These sites permit alcohol consumption.

Everyone should be able to access and benefit from City recreational and cultural sites, services and resources in a safe, enjoyable and respectful manner.
Please read the Community Recreation and Culture Branch’s Recreation Safety Guidelines as well as the Respect for People & Property Guidelines to better understand expectations around safety and the role we all play to ensure our spaces are welcome to everyone. In the event these guidelines are not followed, you may have measures put in place that will limit or ban your interactions with employees and/or access to sites and services.
Clean Spaces
Regular cleanings during operating hours: Disinfecting high touch areas multiple times throughout the day. That includes entrance glass, viewing area surfaces, counters, door knobs, push plates, lockers, handrails, vending machines, fitness equipment, drinking fountains, seating areas, etc.
Cleaning during closed hours: Application of electrostatics spray to high touch areas including locker rooms, seating areas, indoor playgrounds, and weight and fitness equipment.
Remember, you play an important role in creating a safe space by working with us to continue following the public health recommendations and requirements that will be in place as the Government of Alberta moves towards lifting most public health measures:
