The City of Edmonton provides outdoor sport field facilities for use by members of the public as well as organized groups. From natural grass to artificial turf, these well-maintained fields are great for recreational as well as competitive use.
Booking requests between May 2024 - October 2024 can be submitted during Open Season, starting April 2, 2024. To find fields in your area, check the Neighbourhood Interactive Map and filter it to sports facilities.
Once you find a location and time that works for you, please fill out the Online Sports Field Request Form when it is open for responses on April 2. Before submitting a request, please check field availability on MoveLearnPlay - see below.
You can find more information regarding the types of sports fields the City has to offer in the Sports Fields webpage.
Important: Due to the high volume of requests we receive at the start of open season bookings, our response time may be between 5-7 business days.
For field closure information, in case of inclement weather, please visit Facility Notifications webpage or call the Sports Field Closure line at 780-496-4999.

Everyone should be able to access and benefit from City recreational and cultural sites, services and resources in a safe, enjoyable and respectful manner.
Please read the Community Recreation and Culture Branch’s Recreation Safety Guidelines as well as the Respect for People & Property Guidelines to better understand expectations around safety and the role we all play to ensure our spaces are welcome to everyone. In the event these guidelines are not followed, you may have measures put in place that will limit or ban your interactions with employees and/or access to sites and services.
Clean Spaces
Regular cleanings during operating hours: Disinfecting high touch areas multiple times throughout the day. That includes entrance glass, viewing area surfaces, counters, door knobs, push plates, lockers, handrails, vending machines, fitness equipment, drinking fountains, seating areas, etc.
Cleaning during closed hours: Application of electrostatics spray to high touch areas including locker rooms, seating areas, indoor playgrounds, and weight and fitness equipment.
Remember, you play an important role in creating a safe space by working with us to continue following the public health recommendations and requirements that will be in place as the Government of Alberta moves towards lifting most public health measures:
