Everyone should be able to access and benefit from City recreational and cultural sites, services and resources in a safe, enjoyable and respectful manner.
Please read the Community Recreation and Culture Branch’s Recreation Safety Guidelines as well as the Respect for People & Property Guidelines to better understand expectations around safety and the role we all play to ensure our spaces are welcome to everyone. In the event these guidelines are not followed, you may have measures put in place that will limit or ban your interactions with employees and/or access to sites and services.

Every summer, our program leaders host games, challenges, and activities designed to keep children active and engaged. A list of activities and special events will be posted on the side of the Green Shack each week.
Green Shack locations operate on half-day schedules, either in the morning from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. or in the afternoon from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Full-day hours are also available at select sites. Please check the map for specific hours and current status updates.
Programming is held rain or shine but may be cancelled during severe weather, including when the air quality health index is 7 or higher. In such cases, please refer to the map for available indoor locations.
