Experience an immersive Sound Bath in the Feature Pyramid at the Muttart Conservatory with Somatika. Step into the sacred geometry of this harmonious space, where the therapeutic power of sound vibration intertwines with verdant botanicals and abundant florals, an enveloping atmosphere conducive to relaxation and meditation.
Facilitators Meghan and Daren will curate a dreamlike soundscape featuring an array of instruments, including crystal singing bowls, gong, monochord, ocean drum, singing pyramid, chimes and more. Sound healing operates on the principle of brain entrainment, where the brain synchronizes its own electrical impulses to the rhythm of the sound frequencies being played. This synchronization can slow brainwaves into meditative states of relaxation, creation and deep rest.
There are two different class times that you can register for: 6:00- 7:00 p.m. or 7:30-8:30 p.m. The Muttart Conservatory will be open from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. for everyone to enjoy the other pyramids.
