These registered programs are geared towards Persons with Disabilities providing opportunities to explore arts, crafts, and recreation while having fun and making new friends! All participants requiring an attendant are to supply their own for the program.
This course is designed for children with limited mobility, physical impairments, or other disabilities. A parent or attendant must accompany students in the water for all levels. It further enhances their unassisted floats, glides, front and back swim and introduction to deep water. Prerequisite for these levels is completion of Level 2.
Workshops for siblings of children with special needs. These workshops will provide opportunities for brothers and sisters of children with special health, mental health, and developmental needs to obtain peer support and education within a recreational context. The sibshop model intersperses information and discussion activities with new games (designed to be unique, off beat, and appealing to a wide ability range), cooking and art activities, and special guests.
