Lifesaving Society National Lifeguard/Aquatic Emergency Care
National Lifeguard/Aquatic Emergency Care is a pre-employment course provides comprehensive training in first aid (such as medical/legal aspects, spinal injuries, heat or cold injuries, bone and joint injuries, burns and other medical emergencies), CPR and the use of an AED. Award is current for 2 years. This course requires 100% attendance.
Prerequisites: Age 16. Prior sucessful completion of Lifesaving Society Bronze Cross, and a current Government of Alberta workplace approved Standard Firs Aid & CPR-C. A bathing suit is required.
